LA MESA STARBUCKS CUSTOMER ROBBED OF LAPTOP COMPUTER AND PURSE

January 6, 2012 (La Mesa) – In a brazen robbery, a thief struggled with a female customer seated at a table outside a Starbucks at 5020 Baltimore Drive, stealing her laptop and purse at 5:45 p.m. yesterday.

The suspect, a Hispanic man in his mid-20s wearing a red plaid shirt and jeans, got into the passenger side of a waiting white 4-door vehicle driven by a second male.  The two suspects sped away southbound on Baltimore Drive.

Officers searched the surrounding areas with assistance from the Sheriff’s ASTREAM helicopter but were unable to locate the suspects or suspect vehicle.

The victim was not injured.
