January 23, 2017 (La Mesa) - In an on-going commitment to communicate with residents, the La Mesa City Council will host two Town Hall Meetings. These open-forum sessions provide an opportunity for citizens to share their concerns, ideas, and opinions on issues in their neighborhood and throughout the City.
The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 31, at Lemon Avenue Elementary, 8787 Lemon Avenue. The second meeting will be held on Thursday, February 2, at Rolando Elementary, 6925 Tower Street. Both meetings will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
The Town Hall Meetings are intended as a means for citizens to learn about City services, state what they like about La Mesa, how they envision the future of their city, and to express concerns. Each attendee will be able to publicly address Councilmembers. Councilmembers may then respond to questions or refer the matter to City staff or suggest resources for further study or action. Additionally, City staff will be in attendance to provide information about crime prevention, emergency preparedness, and recreation classes.
