LABOR DAY BARBECUE IN DESCANSO AT OUR LADY OF LIGHT PARISH SEPTEMBER 3 AND 4

September 1, 2011 (Descanso) -- This year, Our Lady of Light Parish will be holding its 74rd annual barbecue on September 4th. Our Lady of Light is a Catholic Church in Descanso, California, 32 miles outside of San Diego. Each year on Labor Day Sunday, people from across San Diego County converge on the little town for the Church's annual Labor Day barbecue.

The barbecue includes live entertainment, vendors, a raffle with prizes and great pit-roasted beef. Admission is free! On Sunday, everything starts at 11:00. Barbecue bundles are pulled up, meals are served, the band starts to play, and all the fun begins. From a raffle to the 50/50 drawing to fun games.
