East County News Service

October 9, 2019 (Mt. Laguna) - You’re invited to step back in time at the Laguna Mountain Rendezvous, an authentic Rocky Mountain fur traders’ encampment from the early 1800s.  Relive this historic past with demonstrations of primitive survival skills such as tool making, cooking, tomahawk throwing, archery and black power target shooting. Also enjoy music and more.

You can also buy a medallion and earn a chance to win a bronze Mountain Man Statue that is a reproduction of the original by artist Frederic Remington.

Campers with primitive period-style gear and clothing are also welcome to participate.
