Beans ‘n’ Beers Seeking Chili Cooks, Vendors, Sponsors For October 17 Community Event

September 24, 2015 (Lakeside)--The Lakeside Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 3rd annual Beans ‘n’ Beers event on Saturday, October 17 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds. The FREE event features an amateur chili cook-off, children’s activities and petting zoo, live musical and dance performances, beer tasting, local food vendors, and much more!

WHO: The 3rd Annual Beans ‘n’ Beers is one of the Lakeside Chamber’s flagship community events that raises funds for numerous service projects to support local businesses throughout Lakeside.

The amateur chili cook-off competition is a cash-prize contest that has numerous award categories, including: 1) Best Booth and Costume Décor 2) Hottest Chili 3) People’s Choice 4) Best Entry Depicting Lakeside, and 5) Judge’s Special Award – Most Spirited.

WHAT: The Lakeside Chamber is seeking sponsors, chili cooks, as well as food and business vendors to participate in Beans ‘n’ Beers. More information can be found at: http://bit.ly/1EWvxuu. The event is made free to the community through the generosity of sponsors, vendors and local businesses, including Barona Casino.

COST: FREE to attend, includes children’s activities, bands, performances, etc.

                $10 for chili-tasting band, which includes a vote for People’s Choice Chili Category
