November 21, 2011 (Lakeside) -- The Lakeside Historical Society will be hosting its annual Mrs. Claus Gift Shoppe daily beginning on December 1. Gently used holiday decorations will be for sale at bargain prices. The gift shop is located at the Olde Community Church, 9906 Maine Avenue. Store hours are from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
Besides good prices on Christmas decorations, the shoppe also has antiques, collectibles, crafts, dishware and unique gifts for sale. For further information please call the Historical Society at 561-1886.
The historical society will also host its 23rd annual Holiday home Tour on Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Five unique buildings will be on the self-guided tour. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children under 12.
Tickets can be purchased from the gift shop of the Olde Community Church, 9906 Maine Avenue, or at the homes on the tour. The historical society's gift shop will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10am until 2pm. For more information, please call 561-1886.
