November 18, 2013 (Lakeside) – The Lakeside Historical Society will be hosting its 25th Annual Holiday Home tour on Saturday, December 7, 2013, beginning at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Enjoy a self-guided tour of five unique homes in the Lakeside area.

The homes include a view lot atop Rattlesnake Mountain, two homestead cottages in Morena Valley complete with Clydesdale horses and a collection of antiques, another Morena Valley home with a beautifully landscaped yard, and a Eucalyptus Hills home, all decorated for the holidays.

A $15 donation for this event helps preservation efforts and can be purchased from the Historical Society's Olde Community Church, 9906 Maine Avenue, in the heart of Lakeside's Historic District.  The History Center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from. 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  You may call the office at 561-1886 for information. The Lakeside Museum next door to the Historical Society Church will also be open on Tour Day with antiques donated by Lakeside pioneer families on display.

The popular Mrs Clause Christmas Resale Shoppe will be open where you can find bargains on holiday decorations as well.
