LEMON GROVE TEEN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING OFFICER

April 30, 2010 (Lemon Grove) – A 15-year-old Lemon Grove resident was arrested this morning in connection with the assault and robbery of a 78-year-old woman on her way to church last Sunday morning in Lemon Grove. The youth was arrested on a probation violation and struggled with deputies during his arrest, injuring one deputy and ripping the badge off another, according to the Sheriff’’s office.

 

The juvenile offender was taken into custody and booked for assault on a peace office and violation of probation. There are several other robbery cases pending against the suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
