LES MISERABLES DEBUTS AUG. 27-29 AT KROC CENTER THEATRE

August 20, 2010 (San Diego) – The Salvation Army Kroc Center’s Verge Teen Theatre company will present Les Miserables School Edition, the first show for this teen-organized theatre company.

 

Based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, Les Miserables is set in France during the early 19th century. It focuses on the lives of several characters, including Jean Valjean, a paroled prisoner who seeks redemption as he strives to start life anew.

 

 

Performances will be held August 27 and 28 at 7 p.m., as well as August 28 and 29 at 2 p.m. at the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Theatre, 6845 University Avenue in San Diego (just west of 70th Street).

 

Directed by Siobham Sullivan, with musical direction by Amy McDowell, the show is rated PG; parents are recommended to accompany children.
