May 11. 2018 (San Diego) – Long-time San Diego resident and promising TomBird.com author JohnEgreek also known as John Hodgkinson, has received the prestigious Silver Literary Titan Book Award for his creation,  Grandma’s Secret Blessings, A Memoir with a Twist..

The Silver Award is bestowed on books that expertly deliver complex characters, intricate worlds, and thought-provoking themes.

From the Literary Titan Association, an author services company: “Your books deserve extraordinary praise and we are proud to acknowledge your dedication, writing skill and imagination.”

“The Literary Titan Book Awards in general are awarded to books that have astounded and amazed us with unique writing styles, vivid worlds, complex characters, and original ideas. Those books deserve extraordinary praise and we are proud to acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and imagination of those talented authors.”

The author invites you to take the unforgettable journey to the Old Country with him as he fulfills a childhood promised made to his grandparents, after his grandmother was on the famous Queen for a Day TV show. Along the way, he has multiple synchronistic events that help him find hidden secrets that provide him with the necessary elements to set himself free and unlock the door to his heart.

Hodgkinson, an author liaison for Tom Bird, has been pushing other writers towards the same goals and helping them strive for excellence along the way. He continues to open eyes with his infectious marketing and promotion ideas as a newly published author.

In the creation of his book, he has come to understand the heartache and pain which endured living with a father who hated him from the very first day he was born, an animosity that John says continues to this day. In sharing his story with the world, he came to a complete understanding that it was all necessary to bring him to the unique position of being not a wounded child, but a wounded healer.

His future books will focus on that theme. “Healing Stories of the Wounded Child” is a concept that aspires to make him a “Recognition Champion.” It is the Author’s belief that before you can ever heal, you must first recognize that which needs to be healed.

The author recognizes that he is no one special, just a retired senior citizen, with a strained relationship with his adult children and a grandchild that he has never met. He has a unique and creative way to tell the emotional and at times, agonizing true story about his life that will take you on a roller-coaster ride that will emit feelings of anger, guilt, fear, sorrow and pain.
