LOCAL BURGLARY SUSPECT ACCUSED OF DUPING SENIORS IN EAST COUNTY IS ARRESTED

January 4, 2011 (San Diego’s East County) – A man suspected of burglarizing senior citizens in Santee, Chula Vista, and Rancho Bernardo was arrested this morning. Joshua David Nicholes, 20, was taken into custody by detectives from the Santee Sheriff’s Station and Riverside Sheriff’s deputies after a warrant search on Margarita Road in Temecula.

According to Sgt. Tom Poulin with the San Diego Sheriff’s Santee office, Nicholes and an unidentified male accomplice used a ruse to gain access to a victim’s residence in the 7400 block of Mission Gorge Road in Santee, where they are accused of stealing $8,000 worth of jewelry. Jewelry was seized as a result of the search warrant.

Nicholes was booked into the San Diego Central Jail on burglary charges, with bail set at $35,000. He will face a judge in El Cajon Court on January 6.
