June 29, 2010 (San Diego) -- Dethroned Miss USA California Carrie Prejean is about to score a new title: Mrs.
According to Hollywood publications, East County’s notorious celebrity is set to wed Oakland Raiders’ quarterback Kyle Boller on Friday at the Del Mar Inn in San Diego.
Prejean, who attended a Christian school in El Cajon, first drew controversy for making anti-gay marriage remarks when questioned about her views during the pageant. Donald Trump, owner of the pageant, defended her right to retain her crown, but she later lost her title after reportedly failing to show up for numerous pageant appearances and rumors of a salacious video surfaced.
Whether the marriage between Prejean, whose racy photos caused an Internet sensation, and Boller, a man adept at catching passes, will prove a match made in heaven remains to be seen.
