May 18, 2012 (El Cajon) -- The City of El Cajon Recreation Department will once again be offering week-long summer camps that begin June 18th. To see the variety of camps that will be offered go to the website at http://www.elcajonrec.org. Whether you’re looking for indoor soccer, gymnastics, aquatics, fun in the sun, or any other camps. Register online or by mail starting May 29th. If you prefer to register in person, walk-in registration begins June 4th at any of the recreation centers during operational hours. Super Heroes Camp At Hillside Recreation Center
Calling all heroes between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. Hillside Center is looking for the next great super hero! Campers will learn to be as agile as Spiderman, fly like Superman, and move faster than the Flash himself, all in a fun and safe environment. Each day is packed with superhero games, cooking, crafts and surprises galore. They will even create their own comic book.
Go to Hillside Center to sign up for this camp for a web-spinning adventure. Registration begins May 29th, and space fills up quickly. The camp is from June 18- 22, and the course number is 19104. The fee is $100 for the entire week, or $28 a day.
The resident discount is $85 for the week, or $25 per day. Each camper should bring a sack lunch, bathing suit, and towel each day. Our hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 3:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Sign Up For Dance Camp
Dance Camp registration starts on May 29th. Camp includes instruction in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop, daily crafts and games, a Dance Camp 2012 t-shirt, guest performances, and a special performance by the campers. Mark your calendars for Dance Camp July 30 - August 3. We hope to see you there.
