MAN ARRESTED FOR OCTOBER SHOOTING IN SPRING VALLEY: INVESTIGATORS SEEK WITNESSES

December 15, 2016 (Spring Valley) – Jesus Perez, 26, was arrested yesterday afternoon by Sheriff’s detectives for attempted murder. The arrest stems from a shooting which occurred in the early morning hours of October 30th in the 800 block of Broadview Street in Spring Valley.

“A fight occurred at the location after a party was breaking up,” says sergeant Tom Seiver.  “A male suspect, who was involved in the fight, shot a handgun numerous times. One male victim was struck.”

 The victim was transported to a local hospital and survived. The suspect fled the scene.

Sheriff's detectives investigated the shooting and later identified Perez as the shooter. He was arrested without incident in the 2600 block of Via De La Valle in Del Mar. Perez was booked into county jail for attempted murder.

Detectives are seeking additional witnesses to the shooting. Members of the public are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers if they have additional information. The investigation is on-going.
