August 7, 2017 (Jamul) – A 51-year-old man from San Diego has died after an accident last night in Jamul. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 2008 Acura MDX driven by the man on Skyline Truck Trail east of Lawson Valley Road drifted off the road and struck a dirt embankment.

“At this time, it is unclear if the driver suffered a medical emergency prior to drifting off of the road,” says Officer Kevin Pearlstein with the California Highway Patrol.  No other vehicles were involved and it appears alcohol and or drugs were not a factor, he adds.

The driver was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he passed away. His name has not yet been released pending notification of family.
