November 25, 2010 (El Cajon) – Alex Gilliam, Jr., 53, was struck and killed Tuesday evening by a westbound car while crossing the 500 block of East Chase Avenue in El Cajon on his motorized scooter.
He was thrown into a nearby lane and was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital, but despite aggressive resuscitation efforts, emergency personnel could not save him. He died of blunt impact injuries to his torso.
Gilliam, who was divorced, resided in an apartment in El Cajon.
