Mardi Gras dates

Our Mardi Gras was originally scheduled for another restaurant in February, that cancelled. Since we already had invested in masks, beads etc. and had a commitment from a band, we moved it to Pinnacle Peak and this was the first available date, since the band was already booked on the actual Mardi Gras date. If we have another Mardi Gras in the future we do plan to move it earlier. We also didn't want to compete against the big downtown Mardi Gras event.

Mardri Gras

Last time I looked, Ash Wednesday was March 5 which makes Mardi Gras March 4. Mardi Gras is the last blast before 40 days of Lent, a time of a fasting before Easter. Oh well! Accuracy is overrated.
