January 23, 2019 (La Mesa) -- La Mesa Chamber of Commerce invites you to meet La Mesa’s newest City Councilmember, Dr. Akilah Weber. She will be the featured speaker, sharing her goals at the chamber’s breakfast meeting on Wed. March 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Marie Callendar’s restaurant, 6950 Alvarado Road, San Diego.
Dr. Weber was elected to the La Mesa City Council in November 2018. She is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and the Director of the Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology Division at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Prior to joining Rady Children’s, Dr. Weber was an assistant professor in the department of Ob/Gyn at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and the principal pediatric and adolescent gynecologist for Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
The event is open to the public as well as to Chamber members. Cost is $15 members, $20 for potential members and guests with advance reservation, and $25 at the door. Breakfast includes eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fresh fruit, muffins, coffee, juice and more. The breakfast meeting is sponsored by: Carl Burger Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM World.
