Conditional Voter Registration law for the Nov. 6 Gubernatorial General Election must visit the Registrar of Voters office in Kearny Mesa to do so. The votes will be counted after election officials verify the voter registration and confirm the voter has not yet voted elsewhere in the current election.
While voters who register past the deadline will not be able to vote at their traditional polling place, they will not lose their opportunity to cast their ballot.
The Registrar of Voters office is located at 5600 Overland Ave, San Diego, 92123. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Election Day when the voting hours will change to 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. to reflect the hours at the polls. The office will also be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3 and Sunday, Nov. 4 for weekend voting.
“Don’t delay but also come prepared,” said Registrar of Voters Michael Vu. “This November’s ballot consists of two cards. Complete your sample ballot ahead of time so when you go inside the voting booth, you can quickly fill in your official ballot.”
For voters who need language assistance, election materials are also available in Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese and Chinese.
