Jewele Hiday located in South Bay area

August 12, 2010 (San Diego) San Diego Police Department reports that Jewele Hiday, 12, missing since Sunday morning, has been found safe in the South Bay area.  She reportedly ran away to a friend's after an argument with her mother.

Elizabeth Hiday discovered her daughter was missing from their home at 7 a.m. Sunday.  The missing girl was last seen at her Skyline residence east of Lemon Grove at approximately 6:00 a.m. that morning by her older sister.

Jewele Hiday did not tell her sister that she was planning to leave or where she was going. She did not take any extra clothing or other belongings with her, police said initially. The girl did not have a history of running away  according to her mother.

There was no sign of forced entry into the home, Detective Robert Hawkins told East County Magazine. While Jewele has occasionally gone out early mornings to walk the family’s dog, the dog was inside the home when Jewele was discovered missing.
