August 27, 2009 (San Diego’s East County) – Two girls missing since Friday have returned home, police now report.  The teens left home voluntarily and no charges have been filed, according to police.

"Unfortunately, it is with sad and scary news that I am contacting you,” Michael Bailey, regional golf course superintendent at Warner Springs Ranch Gold Club, wrote in an e-mail forwarded to East County Magazine on Tuesday. “My 15-year-old daughter and her 16-year-old good friend have been missing since the night of Friday,August 21.” Bailey asked the public’s help to post flyers, forward information via e-mail and contact authorities with any leads to help find the missing teens.

Alexis “Lexi” Bailey and Julianne Buzzelli had last been seen shortly before midnight Friday, while spending the night at the Bailey home. A call from Buzzelli’s cell phone at 2:45 requested a taxi at Pechanga Casino in Temecula, 10 miles from the Bailey residence. However the cab company had no record of picking up the girls near the Casino. No further calls were made and the cell phone later went dead.

Both girls are students at the Temecula Prepatory School.  A search was formally been launched on Monday by the Riverside County Sheriff and a website set up with flyers and a link to a YouTube video at www.findbuzzellibailey.com.
