"MONEY TALKS" AT NEXT ALPINE CHAMBER BREAKFAST JULY 11

June 30, 2017 (Alpine) -- Follow the money at the next “Hot Topics Breakfast” of the Alpine Mountain Empire Chamber of Commerce. Guest speaker Dan McAllister, the San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector, will give an overview of what his office does during the Tuesday, July 11 Chamber meeting.

It starts at 7:15 a.m. at the Greek Village Grill in the Ayres Lodge Center, 1730 Alpine Blvd.  Open to the public, McAllister’s presentation will emphasize how Alpine and the Mountain Empire fit into the county’s financial process.  

The $20 for the breakfast session includes a hot meal, opportunities to win a free Hot Topics ticket and/or a “Red Hot & Moving to the Top” promotion event and networking. 

Re-elected in 2014 to his fourth term, McAllister oversees the collection of more than $5.5 billion in property taxes annually, He also manages more than $10 billion in the county’s Investment Pool and administers the county’s $1 billion defined contribution program. 

McAllister is a former U.S. Peace Corps volunteer who became a successful financial consultant and investment broker before being elected to office.  He is on the boards of the Jackie Robinson YMCA; Habitat for Humanity, San Diego, and New Americans Museum, San Diego.
