MOTORCYCLIST SERIOUSLY INJURED IN JAMUL CRASH

February 13, 2023 (Jamul) – A San Diego man, 40, sustained major injuries in a crash on February 10 in Jamul while attempting to pass another vehicle on State Route 94.

The San Diego man was riding a 1999 BMW motorcycle eastbound on 94, just east of Millar Road ,at around 50 miles per hour, when he crossed over solid double lines to pass. He crashed into a westbound 2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 22-year-old Campo man. 

The BMW motorcycle rider was ejected onto the roadway. He was transported to Sharp memorial hospital.

The driver of the Chevrolet did not sustain injuries and was cooperative on scene. 

“Currently, alcohol and/or dugs do not appear be a factor in the cause of this crash,” says Officer Jared Grieshaber with the California Highway Patrol.
