June 7, 2016 (Mt. Helix) – This summer, several fun events will be held atop Mt. Helix, including an astrononmy night, the annual heART of Mt. Helix festivities, and an Art in the Park children’s art camp.  Scroll down for details.

Astronomy Night

Saturday, July 9 – 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Enjoy this rare opportunity to experience the Park at night during Astronomy Night, a free, family-friendly event hosted by the Mt. Helix Park Foundation in conjunction with the San Diego Astronomy Association. Bring your telescope or view the stars from one provided by members of the SDAA. Come early, enjoy the sunset and bring a picnic! Shuttles start at 7:30 p.m. and star gazing begins at 8:30 p.m. Shuttles will run from the lower lots at the corner of Vivera and Mt. Helix Drive.

Ninth annual heART of Mt. Helix

Saturday, August 13 - 5:30 to 10 p.m. at Mt. Helix Park

Don’t miss the best party of the summer on Mt. Helix! Enjoy dancing under the stars to the Mighty Untouchables, complimentary tastings from 15 local restaurants, musical guests on two stages, live artist demos, silent and live auction bidding, all while supporting the Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year

General Admission: $60 Park Members; $75 Non-Park Members

Reserved Table Seating: $125/person; $1250/table of 10 $750/table of 6

Art In The Park - Children's Art Camp

Monday, October 10 through Friday October 14

Join Penny Quirk, local artist and president of Art Smarts, Inc., for the fifth season of Art In The Park, a children’s art camp at Mt. Helix Park from 9 a.m. to noon. This one-of-a-kind experience atop Mt. Helix features lessons in the use of pastel and watercolor mediums. The fee is $150 per week, per child, or $35 for a single day drop-in (supplies included).
