MUSIC IN THE GROVE: OCTOBER PERFORMANCES IN LEMON GROVE

October 15, 2014 (Lemon Grove)  -- Music lovers can enjoy two events coming up this month in Lemon Grove, including a jazz program at the Lemon Grove Library on October 21st and the  October 25th, launch of a monthly series of free performances. At the debut event, Lemon Grove Historical Society and Kinsee Morland will Lemon Grove Live! featuring concerts by a wide variety of street musicians, from indie rock and folk to world music, saxophone and opera.  Scroll down for details.

Oct.  21 at 6:30 p.m., Lemon Grove Library, 3001 School Lane:  The Friends of the Lemon Grove Library Music Series presents the acclaimed Peter Sprague, the guitarist and composer, in a modern jazz program.  Find Peter in the comfortable, spacious Rosemary Putnam Community Room.  Free.  Suitable for ages 12 and over.

Oct. 25 from 5 - 7 p.m. on the Main Street Promenade at the Trolley Depot, corner of Broadway and Lemon Grove Avenue, the Lemon Grove Historical Society and Kinsee Morlan of CityBeat will present Lemon Grove Live! up and down the Promenade.  All ages are welcome.  You'll hear street musicians of all kinds in this exciting launch of a monthly series of free performances on our beautiful Promenade with its amphitheater style seating (bring a cushion):
