NEW YEAR’S DAY AFTERNOON PRAYER SERVICE PLANNED AT MT. HELIX PARK AMPHITHEATER

December 27, 2016 (La Mesa) – Unite San Diego, a coalition of pastors, elected officials, business owners and community leaders, will host a New Year’s Day “Prayer Summit” from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, January, 1, at the Mount Helix Park Amphitheater, 4901 Mt. Helix Dr., La Mesa. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free. The program will include music, worship and prayers. A prelude to worship will begin at 1 p.m. Several hundred people are expected to attend, said Michael Griffiths of Unite San Diego.

“This is our fourth year to start the year off right with prayer and seeking the face of God,” said Griffiths. “Rain or shine, we will start the New Year together by giving our first fruits offering of prayer and worship to the Lord.”

Speakers will include El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells and State Senator Joel Anderson. Also speaking will be George Runyan, founder and director, San Diego City Church Ministries. Free parking and free shuttles to Mount Helix Park will be available in lots next to the San Miguel Fire Station Fire Station 21, 10105 Vivera Dr., at Mt. Helix and Vivera drives in La Mesa, and at Grossmont High School, 1100 Murray Dr., El Cajon. More event information can be found at www.unitesandiego.com.
