May 6, 2017 (La Mesa/Lemon Grove/Rancho San Diego) - The Sheriff's Court Services Bureau Field Unit arrested nine people with outstanding arrest warrants in a sweep on Saturday morning, Sheriff's officials said.  The sweep is part of a law enforcement spread across San Diego's East County.

The Sheriff's Court Services Bureau Field Unit conducted a three-city sweep in La Mesa, Lemon Grove and Rancho San Diego from 6:00 a.m. this morning until noon, according to Sgt. Bill Dunford.

“The focus of the operation was on the apprehension of suspects with outstanding warrants,” Dunford said. “A total of nine adults were arrested, and 15 warrants were cleared.”

The San Diego Sheriff's Department has increased its efforts to find wanted suspects and will continue to do so, Dunford said.

Those with outstanding warrants were encouraged to turn themselves in any time on Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at any of the Sheriff's court facilities.
