May 16, 2017 (Lakeside) – Cattle escaped from a pen in Lakeside on Sunday night, including a bull that wandered onto State Route 67.   Motorist Vicki Coles struck the bull near Willow Road, causing major damage to her Ford pickup truck.

Fortunately. Coles was not harmed, but the bull had to be euthanized due to its injuries.

Bystanders and Sheriff’s deputies helped round up additional bulls and cows that had escaped through an open gate and roamed onto the grounds of a gas station next to the highway.
