BLOOD DRIVES IN EAST COUNTY

February 23, 2016 (San Diego's East County) - There will be several blood drives in East County over the next couple of weeks.  Here is where to go if you wish to donate blood:

• March 1, 2016:  Valhalla High School, 1725 Hillsdale Rd El Cajon, 92020 in the parking lot 8:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
• March 3, 2016:  Patrick Henry High School, 6702 Wandermere Drive San Diego, 92120 in the auditorium 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

On March 5, there are several locations hosting blood drives.  Alpine Community (2156 Alpine Blvd. Alpine, 91901) will host a blood drive in the Women's Club parking lot from 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.  Albertson's in Ramona (1459 Main St Ramona, 92065) will host a blood drive in the parking lot from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.  And lastly, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (8472 Blossom Lane Lemon Grove, 91945) will host a blood drive in the gymnasium from 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Anyone 17 and older who weighs at least 114 pounds and is in good health may qualify to give blood. A good meal and plenty of fluids are recommended prior to donation. All donors must show picture identification. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment when they donate.
