January 24, 2019 (El Cajon) - Are you, or someone you know, an essential employee or furloughed federal employee or contractor?
East County Transitional Living Center (ECTLC) and Christian Fellowship of El Cajon are partnering to provide help to individuals and families affected by the government shutdown.
Sign up HERE and plan to get food (including items such as meat, side dishes, fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, dessert, etc.) on Monday, Jan. 28th between 1-3 pm at Christian Fellowship of El Cajon, 1523 E. Main St., El Cajon, CA 92021.
Pre-register to ensure availability and bring your government ID.
The center anticipates weekly distributions for impacted federal employees and contractors until the shutdown is over.
If you know an affected worker, please reach out or forward this email to them. Departments include Border Patrol, Bureau of Prisons, Coast Guard, DEA, EPA, FBI, FDA, Homeland Security including TSA, IRS, Bureau of Land Management, USDA, and more.

Yeah they really need food huh.
A lot of them DO need food.
For most people the majority of their income is designated for mortages or rent, utilities, car payments and other fixed items. Most people don't have thousands socked away in savings. In D.C. there were articles about food lines around the block of federal workers on furlough.
