SUSPECTED DUI DRIVER CRASHES INTO EL CAJON HOME, INJURES DRIVER AND PASSENGERS

February 12, 2024 (El Cajon) – A driver and two passengers sustained major injuries when a 2011 Buick Enclave SUV crashed into a home at 9060 Winter Gardens Blvd. in El Cajon shortly after 3 a.m.

The driver, a 39-year-old El Cajon man, was heading south on Winter  Gardens Blvd. south of Sterling Hills Lane when he lost control and the vehicle left the roadway, overturning and crashing into the home.

The driver and two passengers, both men from El Cajon ages 37 and 41, were all transported by ambulances to Sharp Memorial Hospital.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and alcohol was a factor in this crash,” says Officer Jared Grieshaber with the California Highway Patrol.
