November 11, 2011 (Spring Valley) – Celebrating its 10th year, Young Actors Theatre re-presents the musical that started it all – Oliver! The public is invited to enjoy the classic Charles Dickens’ tale brought to life onstage at the Encore Theatre in Spring Valley.

The story centers around Oliver Twist, a young boy living in a workhouse with other orphans in 1850s England. When the lad disrupts a meal by asking for more, he is sold to an undertaker and his family. Adventures await Oliver as he escapes and befriends the Artful Dodger, who runs a gang of young pickpockets. Caught in his first “job” as a pickpocket, Oliver is taken in by a kindly wealthy gentleman, Mr. Brownlow.
