June 28, 2019 (Mt. Helix) – You’re invited to come party for a purpose against the backdrop of the setting sun at the historic Mt. Helix Park, known for its 360-degree views. Early bird tickets are now on sale for the August 10 HeART of Mt. Helix event, a premier wine, food and art festival benefiting the Mt. Helix Park. Earlyb bird rates starting at $65 have been extended until July 31.

The magic happens on August 10 from 5 to 10 p.m. as one of San Diego’s most spectacular outdoor venues is transformed by this one-of-a-kind festival of art, music, and samplings from some of San Diego's best restaurants and beverage companies, while benefiting one of the county’s most unique nonprofit nature parks and outdoor amphitheaters.

Now in its 12th year, the heART continues to draw many of the same guests year after year and is known as “The Party on the Hill” amongst the community and a not-to-be-missed event!

A crew of talented volunteers along with the Park’s executive director spend the better part of a year planning this special event. This year coordinators are keeping the best parts of previous events while adding a few new twists, including unlimited food and beverage samplings from 5 - 7 p.m. (10 p.m. for VIP ticket holders) and a bold citrus-themed color scheme.

Guests will enjoy live art, musical vignettes throughout the Park, dancing under the stars to the Good Mojo Band, as well as a vibrant raffle and live auction. From a new VIP lounge experience and mainstage placement to signature cocktails, colors, and flavors reflecting all things citrus, this year's event brings on the summer charm, perfect for a date night, entertaining clients, or a gathering of friends.

“Mt. Helix Park is already a special place to connect, and our annual heART event really brings the community together forming new friendships and rekindling old,” describes Executive Director Krista Powers. “I personally have been coming to the heART since its inception, and I really wanted to make sure we listened to the community and what they wanted to see at the event this year. We have an incredible group of people volunteering their time to ensure this park is here for future generations to come. This annual party makes that happen!”

Some of the culinary tastings already slated to return to this year’s event include Anthony’s, The Brigantine, Cafe Carmel, Casa De Pico, Dream Dinners, The Edge Mediterranean Grill, The Hills, Pick Up Stix, Brew Spot Coffee, Terra American Bistro, Hooley’s Irish Pub. Menchie’s, Mary’s Donuts, Posh Nosh, and D'Amato's Pizza.
