PEDESTRIAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN EL CAJON

October 6, 2015 (El Cajon – A pedestrian was struck by a silver Nissan Maxima last night at 10:25 p.m. after apparently stepping into the path of the vehicle in the 100 block of Ballantyne in El Cajon.  According to Lieutenant E. Taylor, the pedestrian, an adult resident of El Cajon, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby trauma center.

El Cajon Police officers and Heartland Fire paramedics responded to the scene.  The driver The driver remained at the scene and has been fully cooperative with this investigation, Lt. Taylor said, adding that preliminary evidence indicates that alcohol or speed do not appear to be factors in this collision.
