February 14, 2020 (Flinn Springs) – Wildlife biologist and photographer Renee Owens caught these two beautiful hummingbird images in her backyard in Flinn Springs. The first is Costa’s hummingbird, the other is a Rufous hummingbird.

I started with one plant and now have many more -- "volunteers." I just transplanted two of them, which usually doesn't work, but they're hanging in there. We've had a lot of rain out in far-east county.

The Birds
I have the same plant in my yard. It sends out shoots with small flowers that attracts humming birds. I also have a feeder hanging on my porch.
