September 9, 2014 (Ramona) – Kristin Kjaero shot these photos of fun-loving folks jumping in feet first to enjoy harvest season at Hacienda de las Rosas Winery in East County.

Grape stomps have become annual fall traditions at many of our local wineries, though health regulations in California prohibit consumption of wine from grapes crushed underfoot, so nowadays it’s all just for fun! Of course, the occasion also included wine tasting, food, art, and live music which combined for a festive occasion in our backcountry.
