POLICE SEEK HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER OF FORD TRUCK IN COLLEGE AREA

March 23,2012 (San Diego)—San Diego Police are looking for the driver of a dark grey truck with front left fender/headlight damage. The vehicle struck and seriously injured a pizza deliveryman at Montezuma Road and 63rd street in the College area at 10:40 last night.

 

The 31-year-old victim was delivering Dominca Pizza on his Vespa, traveling eastbound on Montezuma when he entered the intersection at 63rd with a green light. He was struck by the truck, which was making a left turn.   The victim was transported to a trauma center with serious internal injuries and a fractured pelvis.

 
There is no description of the driver, who fled the scene. The truck may have green pain on the fender transferred from the Vespa, said Officer David Stafford with San Diego Police.  SDPD’s Traffic Division is investigating the accident.
