August 20, 2009 (El Cajon) – The San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce invites members and the public to “Politics in Paradise”, an open forum with an opportunity to interact with your elected officials while they are in town during the Congressional and state legislative recesses. The event will be held Friday, August 21st at the Cuyamaca College Water Conservation Garden in El Cajon.


Speakers include Congressman Bob Filner (D-San Diego), Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-Alpine), State Senator Denise Ducheny (D-San Diego), Senator Dennis Hollingsworth (R-Murrieta), Assemblyman Joel Anderson (R-Alpine), Assemblyman Marty Block (D-Lemon Grove), and Supervisor Dianne Jacob.


The Water Conservation garden is located at 12112 Cuyamaca Drive West, El Cajon. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., with the program starting at 7:15 p.m.


Tickets cost $50 and prepayment is required. To reserve space, call 619-440-6161.
