June 28, 2010 (San Diego’s East County) – Among the most unique summertime activities in East County are the “Hot Kroc Nights” and “Pool Flicks” offered by the Salvation Army Kroc Center. You've heard of a drive-in movie...now you can enjoy a "dive-in" showing--or cool off with iceskating at an NFL-sized rink.

Hot Kroc Nights offers family specials for ice skating or swimming, every Wednesday night this summer, through August 25th from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

For the cinematically inclined, Pool Flicks is a cool way for families to enjoy a movie together. Guests are given inner tubes and invited to float in the recreation pool and watch a family movie. Pool Flicks are offered on July 7, July 28, and August 18 (swimming 7-10 p.m., movie at 8 p.m.)

Salvation Army Kroc Center is located at 6845 University Avenue, San Diego, CA 92115. For more information visit www.kroccenter.org.
