July 5, 2010 (El Cajon) – On Friday, July 9th, fans of art, music, wine and classic cars will be prowling the streets of downtown El Cajon for the 5th annual Alley Cat Summer Fest. The event, which many consider to be the “cat’s meow,” is presented by St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center to benefit Sophie’s Art Gallery, creating opportunities for artists with developmental disabilities.

The Fest will feature an art show, live music, classic car show, beer garden, wine tasting, and an array of vendors. El Cajon Community Development Corporation will host a Concert on the Green featuring Sue Palmer and her Motel Swing Orchestra. The German American Societies of San Diego will host a beer garden and food.

To me the event's most

To me the event's most exciting part are the classic cars show and the diverse art and wine tasting package. Thanks for sharing the post and refreshing my memories. It's one of the events I always wanted to attend so even if I was able to attend only a couple of times it would be like a great opportunity. El Cajon! A fabulous place and events like Alley Cat Summer Fest makes the stay even more memorable.
