PUBLIC HELP SOUGHT IN ARSON CASES

June 27, 2012 (Chula Vista/Otay)--Recently, there have been several brush fires in close proximity to each other in the Rancho Del Rey Parkway neighborhood in east Chula Vista. Chula Vista Police and Fire Investigators are asking for information from the public as there are no leads at this time.

There were no injuries reported. However, several of the fires came close to residences. There is up to a $10,000 reward (up to $1,000 for arrest and up to $9,000 for conviction) through the Crime Stoppers arson reward fund.

Classification of Fire Cause: Incendiary (arson)

FIRE #4

Times: 1518
Location: Canyon behind 1413 Summit Dr to the west of Ralphs Grocery Store
Total Sq Footage/Acreage: 5172sq.ft. / .12 acre Classification of Fire
Cause: Undetermined
