February 11, 2017 (La Mesa) — On Wednesday, Helix Water District’s Board will be asked to provide staff with direction regarding Director Dan McMillan’s request for an analysis on reducing water rates—and setting a date for a board meeting to discuss those options.

Board members will also hear an update on the District’s Drought Action Plan, as well as an update on testing for lead in local schools.

In addition, the Board will vote on mid-year budget adjustments for capital improvements and on appropriating funds to design a pipeline project in El Cajon.

The Board will also consider McMillan’s proposal for staff to create a financial incentive for board members to waive medical coverage from the district when the member already has medical coverage from another source.
