April 2, 2016 (Alpine) - REACH and the Viejas Fire Department are unveiling their new medically-equipped helicopter in Alpine.  To celebrate, they are holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, April 8th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

REACH now has five medically equipped helicopters and one airplane in Southern California to transport patients quickly and safely to needed care. The helicopter will serve the rural East County region, helping save lives of residents both on and off the reservation.

REACH was named Program of the Year by the Association of  Air Medical Services. Judged by a panel of industry experts, REACH received the top honor for a program that clearly  exceeds industry standards for patient care, safety, leadership  and community service. They have also been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems, the gold standard for quality patient care and safety, since 1998.  They are staffed 24/7/365 to provide experienced and dedicated care to all members of the community.
