By Patrick Malloy, candidate, 50th Congressional District
March 18, 2017 (Ramona) -- I was inside at the Ramona "town hall" but that's not an accurate depiction. It started off with prayer, and then led into the Congressman's adoration of our President, skipping over the checks and balances that we elected him for. My name is Patrick Malloy, I'm running in 2018 or sooner if we have a special election, which we deserve. I ran for this seat in the last election.
I want to thank our Representative for demonstrating exactly how not to hold a town hall meeting. I will hold no less than six in person town hall meetings a year, with 1,000 seat capacity, if capacity is reached, then we will have a same day second seating at the same venue. I will start the meeting off without a prayer, and get straight to the questions. A Patrick Malloy town hall meeting will be held in a different town hall every other month throughout the district, and live cast for call in with questions. Written questions will be gathered in plain sight and given to a moderator for random selection. Our town hall meetings will be focused on our district, your tax dollars, and your concerns, not a President nor a Party.
On the issues that came up most frequently, healthcare, Russia's involvement in our election and immigration here's my stance:
Healthcare- I stand for a single payer healthcare system, this enables small business to shed the burden of paying into employee’s healthcare and promotes small business growth, and it also disables the attraction to joining up in the military as your only option for lifetime socialized medicine, not to mention that it protects your home and your assets from forfeiture.
I stand for immigration reform, amnesty- not forever, just for a limited time. I will have bi-lingual help at my Congressional office to help bring people out of the shadows and get right with their immigration status.
Any zealous elected official bent on finding something, anything on Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, but is reluctant to investigate a foreign government's potential election tampering, is not fit to be part of the checks and balances in our great nation.

another far left attack piece
russia didn't do anything not done by ALL powers against each other.... plenty of evidence barkyobobo wiretapped foreign governments and sent toadies to Israel to try to defeat Bibi N
the federal government does not have a Constitutional role in medicine or healthcare... the only way roberts justified the fraudulent and destructive obamcare was by declaring it a tax.
fresh air helps us all
Rep Hunter's Clown Town Hall
The only good Democrat
Is a Democrat out of public office.
Obama had plenty of time to investigate
Republican George Bush's White House Lawyer says it's "treason."
He testified to the Senate Intelligence Committee that "treason is an oversight action" and that he believes treason has occurred in the Trump campaign's collusion with Russian officials to influence an election outcome. He emphasized "There is no other word for it" in a Tweet this week.
There could be more at stake than defeating Clinton. There are now links being drawn to Russian mobsters and big oil money with a lot at stake in Russia with a Trump presidency. Interestingly we've now see 7 high profile Russians murdered who were involved in various aspects of Russian/Putin corruption investigations It would be naive to suggest those were all jsut concidences. We don't yet know how deep this goes, but there are now some senior Republican Senators who have voiced grave concerns, such as Senator John McCain, former GOP presidential nominee.
All parties should clean their own houses if there is corruption or wrongdoing, as Dems did when they backed booting Filner out of office, and Reps did when they were prepared to impeach Nixon, who then resigned.
You missed my point.
