RINCON INDIANS AND SUPERVISOR HORN TO GIVE AWAY 500 TURKEYS TO NEED FAMILIES THIS WEEKEND

November 16, 2018 (Escondido) -- The Rincon band of Luiseño Indians and Supervisor Bill Horn will be distributing 500 turkeys with all the trimmings to North County families in need this Thanksgiving season.   

“We are humbled to be able to provide a turkey and trimmings to families in need,” stated Bo Mazzetti, Chairman of the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians.  “As Indians, we want to ensure that all families have the opportunity of celebrating the spirit of the holiday tradition with their loved ones while creating unforgettable memories.  We will always remember when our neighbors gave us a helping hand.   Giving back and giving thanks is a perfect way for us to celebrate.”

“It is an honor to team up with The Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians again this year for this great event,” said San Diego County Supervisor, Bill Horn. “A warm meal shared with loved ones is the perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving and I am happy these turkeys with provide that opportunity for hundreds of local families.”

Families have been selected on a first come-first served basis.
