OFF-ROAD MOTORCYCLIST FROM SAN DIEGO KILLED IN BORREGO ACCIDENT

May 23, 2010 (Borrego Springs) – A 24-year-old San Diego man was killed Friday night while riding off-road motorcycles with a friend in the Ocotillo Wells State Vehicle Recreation Area. The victim lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected at Shell Reef Expressway at Fault Wash in Borrego Springs.

Despite efforts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercy Air EMS staff, according to the County Coroner. The victim’s name has not yet been released pending notification of kin.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a man who was killed last Saturday in an off-road crash in Borrego Springs. The man was 45-year-old Patrick Dean Perkins of Bonsall. Perkins had gone to the off-roading area with friends and was driving a sandrail-type dune buggy.

Ohh.. this is really very sad news we lost one best off road rider. I have seen many of his off road biking videos and he was really great every time. May God give peace to his soul:

highway was closed for about an hour because a motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Saturday, California Highway Patrol officials reported.A man crashed his motorcycle on California 78 around 11:30 a.m. just east of San Felipe Creek Road, but there was no report if another vehicle was involved. Officers spotted the man in the middle of traffic lanes around 11:40 a.m. and called paramedics when the man complained of back pain.
