SANDAG BOARD TO CONSIDER SALES TAX HIKE BALLOT MEASURE ON FRIDAY

February 11, 2016 (San Diego)--SANDAG is considering placing a measure on the November ballot that would ask voters in the region to increase our local sales tax by up to one-half cent to support specific projects and programs.

The SANDAG Board of Directors will receive an overview of the results of public outreach efforts and discuss initial draft expenditure plan alternatives developed for the potential measure at its board meeting on Friday, February 12.  The item will begin at 10 a.m.

The meeting will be held at in the SANDAG Board Room on the 7th floor at 401 B St. in downtown San Diego. 

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is the San Diego region’s primary public planning, transportation, and research agency. SANDAG is governed by a Board of Directors composed of mayors, council members, and supervisors from each of the region’s 18 cities and the county government.
