SDSU MEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO WASHINGTON 3-0

October 27, 2019 (San Diego) - The Aztec men’s soccer team (3-10-1, 0-7-0) lost to No. 1 Washington (14-1-0, 7-0-0) 3-0 on the Sports Deck Sunday afternoon.

The Huskies scored in the 39th minute then Blake Bodily scored goals in the 48th and 51st minute off a free kick and penalty kick.

Bodily’s first goal was on a free kick from the top of the box that found the right corner.

UW outshot the Aztecs 24-4 and held SDSU to two shots on goal. SDSU’s shots on goal came from freshmen Hunter George and Esteban Zepeda.

Freshman Tetsuya Kadono (0-3-0) earned his third straight start in goal and collected three saves.

THE NOTE

The Aztecs have faced ranked teams in three of their last four matches.

SDSU plays at Stanford Thursday (8 p.m.) and at Cal on Sunday (3 p.m.). Both games will be streamed on the Pac-12 Network.
