February 28, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State track and field will have two representatives at the NCAA Indoor Championship. Junior Ashley Henderson will run the 60- and 200-meter dashes, while senior Micha Auzenne will participate in the 60-meter hurdles.

The Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championship Women's Outstanding Performer of the Meet and an all-conference performer this year, Henderson won the 60- and 200-meter dashes at the conference meet, breaking the SDSU and Championship all-time marks. She ran the second-best 60 (7.17) and sixth-best 200 (22.81) in Division I this season at the Championship.

Henderson enters the NCAA Championship as the fourth-seeded athlete in the 60 and the seventh-seeded runner in the 200. Both are 16-athlete fields. She is also one of two Mountain West sprinters in the 60 and the lone conference representative in the 200.

Auzenne, meanwhile, is the 16th-seeded athlete in the 60-meter hurdles. The senior set the league record and tied her own school record just four days ago in the prelims at the MW Championship. She is one of two Mountain West athletes to qualify for the event.

This is the first time since the 2014 season that San Diego State has been represented at the NCAA Indoor Championship. Shanieka Thomas won the triple jump that year, which followed her 2013 outdoor title in the same event.

The 2017 edition of the event will be held March 10 and 11 in College Station, Texas. ESPN3 will stream the meet live on March 10 starting at3:25 p.m. PT and March 11 starting at 1:55 p.m. PT. A re-air of the championship will take place on Sunday, March 12 starting at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
