October 23, 2022 (Stanford) - The Aztec women’s golf team finished the Stanford Collegiate Sunday afternoon with their best score of the tournament, shooting a 291, a seven-stroke improvement from Saturday.

Anika Sato and Sammy Lee also a one-over-par 72, tying for the low score among Aztecs.

Anna Lina Otten had the best score on the tournament finishing with a season-best 220.  She shot a 73 Sunday. After bogeying her first two holes, she was an even par over the next 16.

Bernice Olivarez Ilas finished with a 223, second best among Aztecs. This was her first time this year not leading SDSU. She shot a 75 Sunday.

April Ranches finished with a 226 after carding a 77 Sunday.

Sato’s day was highlighted by an eagle on the par-four 396-yard fifth hole. Her 72 was her best round of the tournament.

Lee bounced back from a rough Saturday to shoot a 72, which ties her best 18-hole score.

Stanford, the host school, won the team 837 (-14) and individual title, led by Rose Zhang’s 200 (66-65-69, -13).
